Hi!

I'm a Scouser (denizen of Liverpool, UK) now living in Massachusetts, US.

Always been into Lego, generally always having some around and/or on display, but really got back into it around 2006, and then along came the modulars, which I love and have almost all of (just Pet Shop and Market Street not yet obtained). I have also started to build MOC buildings.

Last year I joined the New England LUG (NELUG), and since then have been at 3 shows, two of which I exhibited at. Being in a LUG comes with perks, such as helping with the new Peabody MA store: we built the brand ribbon models a month or so ago (and got discounts!!) and next weekend I'll be assisting in the Master Model build (which has its own perks).

So ... there we go. If you want to know more, just ask!

I shall post a link after I've posted 5 times ... (a Eurobricks forum restriction)

Welcome to Eurobricks Andy!

Let's see some of your buildings. :classic:

Both of the MOCs I've done are similar in idea to yours -- a basis from another Lego set, but expanded, shifted and improved!

Welcome to Eurobricks.

Any particular perk or discount that you liked the best? In addition to modulars, what are your favorite themes?

Hi TC!

I like City, buildings in general. Don't really have an interest in SW, but have some HP, Potc sets. I'm not really into vehicles apart from some City ones to bulk out the town a bit. That being said, I would never say no to any Lego should it be offered! The LotR sets look interesting, and I have some Super Heroes too.

For me, the 30% discount worked out well. We could spend up to $1000. I soent $700 getting TH, DS and MMV ... for $490 -- so that was good!

Nice choice of sets. It is almost like buy 2 get one free, with the Town Hall being the free set. :sweet:

I am looking forward to LotR as well.

That's exactly how I see it! The MMV is my 2nd one of those - want to MOC up the existing MMV, even if it's just double their size. Want to make them more 'modular'. What are your favourite themes?

I buy sets from various themes, but my favorite is probably Creator. I tend to buy sets with a good price per piece (which Creator has), and generally wait until I find it at least 20% off before buying.

Here you are - having reached 10 posts, I can now post a link!

My MOCs

The Library will be having an upgrade within the next month prior to being displayed in the Burlington MA store -- a side area 16-wide, and I'll be updating MOCpages accordingly when done!
