Captain Settle Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Good review. Helms deep is a very nice set with impressive minifigures IMO. I like the uruk hais ladders. Quote
Falconer Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 Has anyone gotten two sets yet, and fit them together to make an enclosed castle? I would love to see how that works out. Thanks! Quote
-ChewinChewie Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Great review! Shame that I don't have the money for it though Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up eventually! Quote
blueandwhite Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Has anyone gotten two sets yet, and fit them together to make an enclosed castle? I would love to see how that works out. Thanks! So far I have five Helm's Deeps but I'm using them for parts. That being said, I'm sure it would be very easy to modify 2+ helms deeps into an enclosed structure. Quote
Ogre Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 So far I have five Helm's Deeps... I'm not shocked. Really, I'm not. LOL! Now I know who to talk to if I need some sand green for a ToroLUG build. Quote
Zilcho Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Hi all, Recently finished my Hornburg/Helm's Deep set, I love it!! I did give Aragorn the chrome great sword for Anduril since I felt that sword is particularly special and should differ from the other swords. :) As much as I love this set, I felt that it needed the baseplates to give it a more "complete" feel. I'll be completing the stream running through the culvert and I'll be adding another ladder, more Uruks and more men manning the wall at some point, plus more Dunlendings! Were there Dunlendings in the book? I've only seen the movies :( Quote
Cammo Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Still really tempted to get the set but it IS pricy. + all the new fantastic DC-sets, Hobbit sets (and even TMNT) I really don't know if to buy this gem. BTW I can get it for € 95.95 instead of € 139.95. Should I wait or take advantage of this deal? Quote

Undercover California Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Superb Lego Otaku! I don't think that my wallet can handle this set's awesomeness, but I do appreciate your clear-pictured review. Definitely makes me want it... Quote
