beelzibus Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Does anyone else have absolutely no interest whatsoever in LOTR? I never 'got' the films, I watched one at the movies, and had to struggle to stay awake, never again. I can't think of a worse theme for TLG to decide upon. Am I alone?
CM4Sci Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I'm not into the movies/books, but I might get one set. Does that count? -Sci

Was it the first one, Fellowship of the Rings? I went there with a friend who (unlike me) had never read the book, and he was completely bored, like you, but his whole attitude changed when the 2nd movie came out, and he loved it. Same for the 3rd movie. Now, in retrospect, he enjoys the story as a whole for what it is, but still says that the first movie was WAY too slow. He does have a point. So in my opinion, you need to give the movies another chance.
prozac Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I have no interest in the Monster Fighters theme, but you don't see me pissing in everyone's cheerios about it.
Peppermint_M Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Well, pity for you. I'll just shut this, we don't want to entertain rants.
