Classic Space - Where to start?

Hi

as kid i was a grat fan of Classic Space. And i started my dark age when Blacktron (which i dislike) came up. Rescently i saw someone finding his old Lego collection with a lot of CS. That was truely awsome! I would like to get at least "all" the sets i had as kid, but i do not where to start. Unforunately we did not have a pictoral Classic Space Review index like e.g. Special Themes. I do not know (m)-any setnumbers, so please, how can i get a good overview?

I have a memory like a trap, so i can recognise mosts sets i had when i see them. But setnumbers... i allways hated them ;)

At least i hope it will help you. Second link you can choose by year, but it will show all lego creations made. But it did help me to find a few sets i didnt have the manual for. Like for the Airport and a bigger retro space set.

Oh my, i had maaaaany Lego CS sets, i really have to thank my parents and grandparents! I will post my former collection when i am ready with the list. There are some sets that i do not 100% remember but i remember their special parts very well.

There are often good eBay lot deals. You should definitely take a look.

well it depends on how far you are willing to go, honestly.

- the best source, imo, is Bricklink.com, which has many sets in several different types of condition, some will have the box, others only the instructions. Bricklink, however, is often not cheap...

- Ebay is another option. There are nice deals to be made from time to time, but the classics are always in high demand, especially with a good box, so keep your wallet close to you...

- garage sales, bourses, your own network of friends is very often a good way to collect old stuff as well. Unfortunately, in my experience, prices have gone up there as well...
