Hi! My first LEGO video showing custom motor controlled switch points while 7938 and 10219 drive on a track.

This is a first test run of a system.

Points are motorised with a small 9V motor and powered by a battery.

I hope i will be able to expand the system and control up to 8 points at the same time.

C&C Welcome! Sorry for a bad video quality.

Did I miss something? The video shows two trains running around a loop for just under two minutes. I don't see the motorised points at all.

I can see the same thing. But no points moving.

So you guys think the trains are just randomly deciding when to go right or straight on the point/switch track? I saw no hands moving the switch so it must have been remotely controlled. Maybe I've got a breakdown of logic here. Sure, there are no close ups of the moterized switching going on. So yes, I think you missed something. :classic:

Nice crash at the end!

To pardon the pun this seems to me to be rather 'pointless' without a close up of the switching mechanism. There have been other threads recently where people have put forward ideas for remote switching so a close up of the mechanism would allow people to compare your approach with the other approaches used so far.

Ahh, and that must be what the first two posters were getting at. Whoops...
