i am not sure if these have been posted here before...

but i just love them!they show what lego is all about (or better say,what it used to be about)

and yet they are so simple!

And am I the only one that its very unlike Lego to have a Shadow of a Tank?

Nope, that surprised me, too...

True, but maybe those are tributes from a fan and not actuals ads, or are they ?

(LOL. actually these ads, regular or not, capture the spirit of lego perfectly... except maybe the Sherman (or is it a Bradley?) LOL)

Hehe, you're right. Maybe it's their way of saying "We'll never build war machinery since the bricks don't exist, but we wanted to show what's possible" X-D

he probably should have gone for a fire truck instead of a tank, and i guess it's a little bit too difficult to grasp for a child, but they're great! 8-

That would be the obvious explanation (or a 2x2 and 2x3 brick), but there's no visible "gap", so it looks like a 2x5 brick :-P
