Hello, all. I'm Garyn Dakari, Garyn, GarDak, whatever you feel like calling me. I've been lurking this site for about a year, I got an account a couple months ago, and now I finally decided to actually join in.

Anywho, like the title says, I'm from Oregon, the state with a ton of water and no sales tax. I herd goats, wash dishes, chop wood a lot in the real world, and on the computer I play and modify video games, and I'm currently trying to make, and someday sell my own games. I also like role-playing on forums, watching funny videos, and wasting time on the internet. I think that's everything....Oh yeah, I'm also trying to learn how to 3d model, code with C#, and make a website. So much fun...

Recently I've got back into Lego somewhat, and I'm trying out minifig customization. Pretty fun so far, I'll upload images here once I'm done =)

Cheers!

-Edit: Misspelled "herd" first time. How embarrassing.

Welcome!

I'm glad you finally decided to post after a year of lurking!

And I must say I have quite the fond memories of Portlanders - no tax, and super friendly people :)

I was walking out of the LEGO store and not one, but two groups of people opened the door for me cause I ummmm.... had a few shopping bags

Thanks!

I'm glad I finally posted too...

I live semi-near Portland. Been to the Washington Square Lego Store a couple times - All I've bought there was the 2005 Clone Scout Walker though :P Cool thing I discovered recently, was a small company called "Bricks & Minifigs", where you can buy older sets, and pieces in bulk. It's very cool! Only three stores(A fourth to open soon) so far.

Oh and uh...This may seem like an odd question, but does anyone know why I can't see anyone's profile pages? I can't even see my own, I get this message when I click on "My profile":

Welcome to Eurobricks. Once you have made 10 posts you will be able to view profile pages. I agree that it is strange that even one's own profile is initially restricted, but it the restriction is by design rather than an error.

Welcome aboard. I enjoyed a trip to BrickFest PDX what feels like many years ago now.

Is Portland really like it's portrayed on the (very excellent) show "Portlandia"?

We have this restriction to help us stop spammers. It's either all profiles or none, so until you get to ten posts you can't view any.

To Garyn Dakari be sure to check into the LEGO mafia forum . There are good games from time to time.

Ah...Thanks! I thought it'd be something like that, but wanted to make sure :P

And yes, the Mafia and the RPing are one of the main reasons I joined here =)
