I bought some Samurai and ninja bits and bobs from Minifig.cat a couple of months back, some parts are better than others but i'll let you be the judge. I think the Ninja helmets sit a little high but that could just be me? Also added some Brickforge vembraces and some custom capes and leg capes from an Ebay seller in the U.K. All the the heads used are from the Exo-Force theme, the torsos and legs are from various figs, mainly PoP I think.

I built the little display piece using a few bits from one of my son's Ninjago sets, I think it suits the figs quite well!

This chap is a combination of Keiken from Exo-Force and Sensei Wu-

Parts prices aren't too bad but check out the links to see what else is available from these sellers-

Brickforge

This guy makes custom capes and similar items and sells them on Ebay. I've bought quite a few bits from him and all have been excellent, far superior to Lego's own stuff!

Custom Cape stuff

So what do you think? (just noticed the white female samurai helmet is slightly wonky!) I love these parts and think they look great when compared to Lego's own Samurai figures. Some parts could do with a little bit of fettling to be perfect but they'll do me just fine as they are.

Those Samurai are awesome! The first two(red and green armor) are so full of awesomeness, I want them! The Exo-Force faces are perfect, in my opinion.

I read somewhere that Minifig.cat sell parts that are for Sidan toys so are not strictly 'Lego' customs - that would explain the fit issues - although I think the fit looks good on all of them anyway. And yes, the Exo-force heads work well and your display looks nice too.

Nice, but there is paint on the market. If you paint custom pieces they will look more realistic.

I do paint my minifigs too, check out my sig picture or some of my other recent minifig posts. I could have painted these too and I may do in the future but i'm more than happy with them as they are for now

Whoa, these are really awesome! I love the green and red samurai, very formidable looking! I agree, the ninja helmet does look like it sits a little bit high. Also, it looks like the figure's head is resting on top of that cloth/vest piece. Is the opening not big enough for the head to sink down all the way?

I think I might have to get some of these parts in the future. Have you ever tried the shoulder armor pieces from the minifigcat website? It says that they require modification to the minifig, but doesn't specify what that means. They look cool, but I don't know that I want to start chopping up figures.

No,it is slightly smaller than the base of the head. With a small amount of filing it would fit perfectly and its something that I will get round too!

I did consider buying these and will include some in my next order ( I placed a Brickforge order yesterday so i'll have to wait a bit) I too wasnt sure which bits had to be modified, I wish now that I had ordered them anyway because they do look very good when fitted.

Thanks very much for your comments

Those Exo-Force faces work quite well with those custom Samurai helmets and masks, especially the red and green ones. I had seen the minifig.cat site before, but this is perhaps my first time getting a good look at what the parts look like on minifigures. They're very different in style than official LEGO parts, especially the "helmet badge" on the red one which is very thin and pointy, but they look good in a MOC like this one.

On that note, I also like the display base you built here. There's a nice contrast between the heavily-armed samurai and the serene shoreline thick with colorful vegetation.
