Legonardo Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 drop it and we all get back to discussing the actual sets coming out. I agree. have we seen any pic's of the Uruk's double head printing? if so I must have missed it
Durins Bane Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 (edited) Durins Bane, I think what you're arguing is that no one has done it to your specific exacting standards. The works that the other builders have done are impressive. It's rude to belittle their accomplishment. Minifig scale is a somewhat loose term, especially since the minifig itself is not exactly proportional to an actual person. If you think you can do it better or more accurately, no one's going to stop you. But right now you're persisting in an argument that doesn't paint you in a good light. I'd recommend you just drop it and we all get back to discussing the actual sets coming out. It terrifies me when I see a response like this. It makes me too afraid to even post. I've seen It happen to other people... I stated one time that it has not been done in minifig scale or Accurately to the movies... Once should have sufficed. I apologize and I drop the argument. and to all of the lovely hard working moc'rs that made Mt I salute them. I was just being picky... I am really excited to get my minifigs tomorrow. I can't wait to see the faces, and if they are double printed!!! The person I got mine from Says they have Moria goblins, but with helmets and not hair.... they said that they knew that they were supposed to have hair so wasn't selling them. I wish I had know cause I like the goblins waaay more, and I think they are going to be more rare. Oh but I can dream that the goblins secretly would be coming with the helmet of darkness Edited April 24, 2012 by Durins Bane

LegoPohm Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I know that is super unfair if true! I can't say for sure how true it is but a couple of on-line retailers here have the sets listed but only one has quoted the release date of September - the other just says unavailable. At the moment I can deal with it - but once people start showing off their sets, minifigs and MOCs on EB I'll probably end up pestering relatives in the UK to send them .

I got a brickwars game sat night and I want to use Uruks as my heroes!!
Ardelon Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Frodo's and Merry's torsos would be great as pirate-era civilian torsos, shame they have the flesh triangle on top. Pippin's and Sam's could work too, I guess. Is the back of Theoden's shield reddish brown or dark red? It clashes too much with the green. Dark brown would have been better.
Durins Bane Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 (edited) Well I'm In love... with helmet Hand side of face Other side Sorry all i got right now is a webcam. Edited April 24, 2012 by Durins Bane
Niku Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Thanks for the pics, very appreciated. I like that helmet, very useful for a MOC of Isengard.
Philip Robin Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Whoa! How did you get that fig?!?! Read back through the last few pages, he revealed there are some factory leaks up on eBay. Very pricey, though.
Sabrien Reed Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I assume everyone will be buying 5 copies of Weathertop to get all Nine Riders? :)
General Magma Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 (edited) I assume everyone will be buying 5 copies of Weathertop to get all Nine Riders? :) There's this funny 'lil thing called Bricklink, you should check it out. In other words: no.. well, not as for me since that would cost me €300. 1 copy of the set and 7 loose figs from BL is good enough. ~ General Magma Edited April 25, 2012 by General Magma
narbilu Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I assume everyone will be buying 5 copies of Weathertop to get all Nine Riders? :) I actually hope that by the time this wave is introduced, that we will see the first prelims for the "witchking" So I'll wait for that.
Odin's son Fred Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I got a brickwars game sat night and I want to use Uruks as my heroes!! Sorry, only officially released Lego pieces are allowed. Since those have not been officially released yet you'll have to leave them out. Just kidding...can't wait to see them in person.
Teh Stud Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I assume everyone will be buying 5 copies of Weathertop to get all Nine Riders? :) After LOTR Lego ends in 5-10 years most of us will have more than 7 nazguul I suspect... They will probably be included in other future sets, so I'll be happy with two of them for a while.
