Hyperion123 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 More like the polybag is only currently available in Sweden and Denmark. In the UK can we only get the polybags through newspapers?? Quote
Mencot Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 More like the polybag is only currently available in Sweden and Denmark. And the swedish speaking parts of Finland Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 It sounds like this polybag is only available outside the US right now. I have to wonder if that has something to do with Hasbro and/or the rights to produce action figures. Is it possible that the action figure issue is different internationally? That can't be the issue; otherwise we wouldn't have gotten 30005 a few years ago. I'm sure it will show up in the US eventually. Quote

Just for comparison, the recent Batman jetski polybag was at least a set of some kind, while this is really a figure with and accessories rack. Just makes me wonder how these items get allocated. Very nice review, by the way. This particular tie-in most likely happened because the comic book features Disney characters and Marvel is now owned by Disney. So it was basically a bit of cross-promotion by Disney, with the help of LEGO. The same comic book has featured a Jack Sparrow polybag in the past, so there's definitely a Disney connection to why the Hawkeye polybag showed up with this particular comic. I've got my fingers crossed that the Thor polybag shows up with it when The Avengers comes out on DVD/Blu-ray. Quote

True, 30005 Stormtrooper was very similiar, but it was an "army-builder" figure, not a named character. If Hasbro has any concerns with Star Wars, it's going to be Lego infringing on those named, important characters. Hence why we have a Captain America set for $12 and the cheapest named character set for Star Wars is $20 At this point, I have to see it as others have mentioned - there's a tie-in with Disney here. Hopefully more single figures packs come out and are offered in more areas. Disney owns the Marvel license and they allow Hasbro to make action figures off of it, but probably have a good enough clause in there to allow Lego to produce sets like this. Quote
Onlera Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Hope I can find this stateside. Really awesome little poly bag Quote
drdavewatford Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 Any sightings of this poly anywhere outside Scandinavia yet ? A very kind Bricksetter in Sweden sent me a couple of these, and it's a really neat little set. I expect it to turn up in a UK newspaper promotion eventually, and probably in Target or somesuch down the line, but for now it doesn't seem to have spread elsewhere. Nice for Scandinavia to get these first for once - enjoy, guys ! D. PS. Almost forgot - nice review ! I was impressed that the photo of the bag seems without reflections - I find this almost impossible to do, with or without use of a flash. Quote
Maniac4Legos Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 My Donald Duck Magazine lists the value of the polybag as 3,36€. I figure in USD that would be about $4.99 just about the same price as Thor and the Cosmic Cube. On YouTube, artifexcreation said the set was $4.99 (see link below) but didn't mentione where he got it. Quote
Maniac4Legos Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Very nice review! Thanks for getting it. I still hope the USA gets it soon...looks nice to have Quote
Brickmamba Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Hawkeye is easily one of the more 'average' super hero figures to come out this year, this polybag doesn't really deliver much when you compare it to the poly-bag Hulk and Luthor, thanks for the review anyways Quote
