soccerkid6 Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 (edited) Well here is my first try at steampunk A fairly basic car based off of the old racers (like chitty chitty bang bang), but in steampunk. Any comments or criticism welcome! Edited January 12, 2016 by soccerkid6 Quote
vynsane Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Pretty cute! I'd have to say, though, that you should invest in some white cones and round plates and such for the steam exhaust. Gray is more reserved for diesulpulp, as it has that heavy soot look to it. It also blends in with the other gray features on your MOC. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 Thanks for the comment and advice vynsane After looking at it you are totally right about the steam Quote
Si-MOCs Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 At least you remembered to put steam in .... Nice little car. Are those mini catapults ? great use piece usage! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 11, 2012 Author Posted May 11, 2012 Thanks Si, yes those are mini catapult pieces, I have been trying to find another use for them for a while Quote
Horry Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I don't find the colour of the steam to be too grey - just pretend that the car has a damaged steam engine I really like that. It's carefully designed, sturdy and yet still a bit fragile - exactly what makes steampunk MOCs so adorable! Quote
Ecclesiastes Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 I don't find the colour of the steam to be too grey - just pretend that the car has a damaged steam engine I think it's an sort of Eco Steampunk Car. Better for the environment But I think it looks good! Also nice you've posted a photo with and without steam! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 22, 2012 Author Posted May 22, 2012 Thanks Ecclesiastes I wanted to make sure the back of the car was easy to see. Quote
