Thank God again that the world is not taking Norway as a model!!

i have to agree. Norway is way too loose in terms of law and enforcement. it is basically ENCOURAGING people to commit crime.

hope the norway people and government know what they are doing.

read the crime rate section you can see it has been declining all the time for US. X-D

even if all these numbers and data and equations don't add up i would still say the Norway Law is FAR TOO LOOSE, i mean come on, no jail until you are 9, it would be a miracle all the toys and sweets shop in Norway can operate at all during the Christmas period. :'-) :'-) :'-)

Riding a chopper bicycle, "smoking" chocolate cigars and robbing Lego stores with squirt guns? Count me in, I wanna get dirty...! :-P

Who told you you can go to jail when you're 9? You gotta be 16 in Norway. :-P

you guys have obviously not seen Belgian prisons then!

not so long ago one of the prisoners escaped because he told the guards he was a visitor, not a prisoner... they for some reason didn't have a way to state his identity... so he was allowed to leave... :-P really, true!

not long there after, this guy with a fantastic record of escaping from prisons asked to be set free for the weekend, but he promised to be back on Monday. All experts said 'no', the minister said 'yeah, sure'; so he left for the weekend... you think he ever got back, next Monday morning? :-X

a month ago, 28 people, yes, 28 people , escaped, they're still looking for most of them, one they've just caught in Italy, I think... any one else seen a Belgian criminal? 8-|

Oh, I remember that, there was a big fuss about it as they thought some of those fled to the Netherlands :-P .

Then again, over here we have problems with prisoners escaping too. To make things worse, most of these are 'TBS-ers' which basically means they're given psychological treatment since they just don't fit into our society. These people get days off, and several cases are known in which they've committed crimes on these days of (even murder!) or just didn't return after them.

Which, in turn, makes it a hot topic in today's elections. Which reminds me, I still need to vote :-D

I think most of you are missing the point. Lego is obviously way too expensive and should be given a serious price reduction to stop this kind of criminal behaviour.

that i do agree *y*

I partially disagree. Lego is very expensive, but not so much, especially if compared to other toys that give less playing possibilities.

Nowadays prices are generally high for everything, and I think Lego is making an effort to keep them down. To achieve this, Lego has also reduced the quality a little bit. |-/

For example, in '80-'90s you could buy little sets for 2-3 euros, with few pieces and 1 or 2 minifigs.

Now you can still buy a Tiny Turbo, or a little City or Aqua Raiders sets, for 3-6 euros. And these little sets have a number of pieces and a complexity higher than little sets of the past.

In 1989 I received a 12 V passenger train. The price was about 70

well in this case, i'd say it's a typical situation every kid find himself in at some point: mom and dad do not want to give you money to buy Lego for whatever reason; Normally it leads to you being very angry at mom and dad, but that's it... it seems this girl thought of a different way...

This is a very general consideration. Nowadays Lego is not at the top of children's desires. Videogames, school-bags with cartoon heroes, etc..., they are not less expensive than Lego!

lego is just expensive. end of story X-D X-D X-D

I agree. But it's not more expensive than everything else nowadays. And I wanted to show that its price isn't increased so much as other things (for example, cinema and restaurants!).

Lego is VERY expensive especially for a MOCer, who wants to have large quantities of particular bricks (and the wide variety of bricks and colours in sets makes it very difficult).

When I was a kid, I liked Lego so much that it was the only toy I used to receive as a present. Now there are many other things that attract kids, like videogames. So there are less money to spend on Lego.

I do have to admit that Lego is a bit too expensive. Exo-Force seems to be very cheap however, considering all the big pieces that should cost a lot, like the missle launchers and armor and stuff. Lego is mostly expensive because all the big sets are usually the best. Lego aren't rip offs, that's for sure, they just have big sets with lots of pieces.
