Faefrost Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 I know it was a great theme, I'm just curious why this particular one seems to have an aftermarket and collectors price so much higher than any of the other non licensed Lego in house subjects? ( well exceptmaybe the Fantasy Castle series?) beyond the obvious "market forces" what drives the prices on these so much higher than the other Adventure themed stuff? Quote
Brickity Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Cause these are discontinued (It was released in 2008) I think the only sets that remain for a long time are the exclusives. Quote
Algernon Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 It just happens. Agents was a well-loved theme, so demand is high (unusually high for an unlicensed theme). Same reason why a CMF Galaxy Patrol figure goes for $7.99 on Ebay while many of the other figures are half that. My advice is to look for large lots, since you often save money by buying in bulk. Otherwise, open-box or loose auctions tend to be much cheaper. You've really got to watch the aftermarket like a hawk, but you can get some good deals. Good luck! Quote
Faefrost Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 Oh I know, and thanks. I just managed to get a good deal on a used mobile command center, but was trying to figure out the insanely high prices on the turbocharge pursuit one. ( which is a shame, cause that ride just screams Nick Fury flying car ) Quote
