kermit Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 Here is a MOD of an attack on the city of atlantis deep below the blue ocean sea. The story begins with one of our adventurers being held captured by the sea king, as our heroes mount an attack to free their friend and conquer the city of atlantis : P1180117 by legokermie, on Flickr The submarine is carrying one of our heroes as it tries to dislodge the pillar holding up the entrance to the city : P1180118 by legokermie, on Flickr In order to put the submarine within the scene and make it appear to be floating, I achieved this effect by holding up the submarine on a pillar. I made a broken pillar (that was not included in the set) and attached the submarine to it via technic pieces : P1180121 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180122 by legokermie, on Flickr The battle even continues on the roof of the monument as our hero fights with one of the sea people : P1180126 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180127 by legokermie, on Flickr A great white shark swoops down for the kill, ready to strike at our hero on the underwater speeder. the shark was help in place with technic pins and one of those hook pieces. The shark can be rotated a full 360 degrees : P1180125 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180134 by legokermie, on Flickr The shark creature tries to protect one of the treasures of atlantis : P1180119 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180132 by legokermie, on Flickr The guards are ready to defend their king as our brave hero approaches : P1180123 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180130 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180124 by legokermie, on Flickr The king sits on his throne over looking the battle field : P1180129 by legokermie, on Flickr I created the throne using gold and white pieces so that it would look like part of the city : P1180148 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180150 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180151 by legokermie, on Flickr Below I added some bars to make a prison for one of the captured adventurers : P1180140 by legokermie, on Flickr I also used some technic pieces to give the roof a kind of skeleton structure like a fish bone : P1180135 by legokermie, on Flickr Unfortunately kermie couldn`t resist posing with his work of art : P1180144 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180145 by legokermie, on Flickr P1180147 by legokermie, on Flickr Hope you all enjoy my little presentation Quote
Omega X Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Very nice MOC,kermit. I really like the way you modified the actual set to make it more sturdy and to make the vehicles 'float'. Perhaps you could capture the axehead in the first doorway in action? Overall, very well done, very detailed battle sequence. Great Job! Quote
