Glory_Forever Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 (edited) Hey all, I made this for the Brickfair Alabama, and I wanted to post it here as my first MOC on Eurobricks . I had to build the entire monastery with a week left till the Brickfair I would have destroyed it several times if I was not already expected to bring it. Anyhow, I would like to thank Stefan (vdubguy67),Blake (Blake's Baericks),and Kris (Kris_Kelvin),for advising me on this. They were very helpful and encouraging. Here is the description that I had on my card: A place of healing, Saint Rafael's Monastery is the dwelling place to the many monks whose homes where destroyed in the holy wars. Also, here's the link to Flickr for more photos Edited May 5, 2012 by Glory_Forever Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 I think I may have commented on this before, but it deserves another The waterfall is quite possibly the best I have ever seen The building is incredible, especially the windows. Truly an amazing build Quote

Donut Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Wow, what a stunning and beautiful creation. The waterfall is really well done () and the landscaping is really nice. I love the details you put in, especially in the interior of the monastery. Quote
Vindicare Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 (edited) Ya know, I really love seeing LEGO landscapes. And this, is by far one of the best on here. It's amazing! That waterfall is beautiful. That dirt path leading up to the monastery. The stain glass window, wow. Great build and good luck at Brickfair, not that I think you're going to need it. Edit: I gave it another look. I didn't even notice that little waterfall down the way. Edited May 5, 2012 by Legocrazy81 Quote
Redhead1982 Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 It's amazing! The landscape is simply put beautiful and very realistic. The waterfall is done amazingly, with interesting techniques and bricks to show it's dynamics, the greenery arond the water completes the landscape perfectly. As far as the monastery goes, it stands upon a greatly built rock, and is just like icing on the cake! Amazingly done and welcome to EB! Quote
