Solscud007 Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 I am in NY state. An hour north of NYC. Right above NJ border. So far I have Cosmic Cube set and Captain America. Not problems for me. Am I assuming there are not problems with the DC line of super heroes? Cause I have batwing, superman set, and Fun house and not problems so far. Quote
Bilbo Baggins Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I've got a question. Is the problem only with superheroes or has there been any other license with this problem? Quote
Cara Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I only own DC at the moment and I haven't had any problems with them other than two of my batmans helmets not matching up with the eye printing in the polybag jetski. Had no problems with boxed sets though. Quote
Piranha Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 After checking, most of my Superhero minifigs seem to be alright, no cracking, but Captain America's shield is badly misprinted. Mine were purchased in the USA, but I am not sure on the exact location, since I just bought them on the internet. Quote
Amset-Rah Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 The only problem with my super heroes is a crack down Iron Man's torso and Tony Stark's angry face is a bit scratched. Other than that, the others, both DC and Marvel are in great condition. This is in West Georgia USA BTW. (Columbus) Quote
K-Nut Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Midwestern USA. No problems until a small but annoying crack formed under Cap's arm. Made the arm wabble whenever it moved. Another crack formed on that same arm, so I eventually replaced him. Iron Man's visor hinge is a bit loose, but nothing big there. Quote
just2good Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) My order has finally came after the first one was messed up, and the head of the alien is still messed up, with cracks at different parts. Oh, and I just called, and they gave me a $15 gift card! Score! Edited June 1, 2012 by just2good Quote
sologuy369 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Hey everyone I'm having a issue with some of my recently purchased superheroes sets. About a week and a half go a bought the omsic cube escape and the chopper showdown. The mini figures were put on my shelf as display items. When I looked at them them today I noticed they were damaged. Ironmans legs have cracks down the back and his helmet has a dent in it which I hadn't noticed until now also wolverines arms nd legs are very loose and flimsy and his hair bearly stays on it slides of when he's upside down. I haven't moved the figs at all apart from when constructing the sets. Does anyone have any idea why this may have happened? Also I went onto lego.com to get these parts replaced and when I typed in the set numbers it came up with a message that said, they were unable to replace parts from this set. Does this mean that I'm now stuck with brand new mini figs that are broken. What should I do? I got the cosmic cube set and I noticed the parts weren't the best quality. None were cracked, though. connor18gow Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 None of my sets had any cracked parts, but I did get the helicarrier set today and the hulk had two left hands and no right one lol. I just emailed them and am awaiting a reply. Do any of y'all know how they will fix this since the hulk is packaged together? Quote

sok117 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I've got three problems with Lego sets, one DC and two marvels. Bane, Captain America, and Hawkeye all have cracks under their right arms. I'm gonna ask for replacements soon. Oh and I'm in Toronto! Quote
Vindicare Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 My order has finally came after the first one was messed up, and the head of the alien is still messed up, with cracks at different parts. Oh, and I just called, and they gave me a $15 gift card! Score! Can you post a picture of the cracked head? I have all the Marvel sets and I don't have any problems with the aliens, or ever with heads. Quote
just2good Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Can you post a picture of the cracked head? I have all the Marvel sets and I don't have any problems with the aliens, or ever with heads. Sorry I posted it so late. It is very hard to see the cracks in the photo (my camera sucks). Quote
thatblockoguy Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 (edited) Sorry I posted it so late. It is very hard to see the cracks in the photo (my camera sucks). Are you referring to the line down the center of the top head and down the left side of the bottom? I always thought that those were just streaks often found in gold pieces. Is the plastic actually split? Edited June 7, 2012 by thatblockoguy Quote
TheLegoDr Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I don't think that is an actual crack. I think it is just a seam, probably having to do with the mold and/or color. I've seen that before on other figures. Never once phased me to be a crack. The fact that it has happened other times with the same piece makes me think it is just a random seam, depending on how the figure is positioned under the mold when it gets painted, that would explain the different locations. Either way, it didn't bother me, so I'm surprised Lego sent a replacement. If it really is a crack, then I should request a replacement also. Quote
Vindicare Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I don't think that's a crack either. All my Chitauri figs look like that. Quote
Sam892 Posted June 7, 2012 Author Posted June 7, 2012 Ye I usually get those lines on my C3PO figs but I don't think there cracks. I think it's just where some of the dye sits when it's cooling in the mould. Quote
thatblockoguy Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 I'm also wondering about those cracks people have been reporting under the arms. all minifigs have a very light line on the torso that begins under the arm and is a few milimeters long. Quote

I'm not too familiar with newer pearl gold (?) pieces, so this is new to me. It does bother me, though. Quote
gotoAndLego Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 ...Thanks guys! How am I supposed to concentrate on work for the rest of the day knowing I might have a cracked minifigure languishing in it's box at home? And no, I'm not being sarcastic. *First World Problem* Quote
sok117 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Okay guys, I just put in a big order at Lego Customer serivce for Bane, Captain America, and Hawkeye torsos, as well as a new Wonder Woman Head because I just realized mine had a big chip in the paint! I'll let you guys know what happens Quote

TheLegoDr Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 sologuy369 Meaning they weren't really cracked. There happens to be a seam along the head where the mold was placed or how it cooled with the paint or something else in production, but not an actual crack. Quote

The Chitauri heads turned out false... Giant cracks on the right hand side. And the face has a splotch of paint missing from the lips. Quote
