Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted November 27, 2006 Author Eurobricks Emperor Posted November 27, 2006 Before i returned to pirate lego I collected starwars lego for a while. I have 16 tie-figthers. That's a good indication why I ran out of money. After that I took a little break, and i actually thought that my interest was subsiding. I actually began contemplating selling some of it. but, now I'm back, and I guess I've been spending some 900 dollars since june. My that's scary! I haven't tried to add it up in my head before now. Actually I believed it to be more than that. It's probably still more than I should be spending though. You only live once Mr. Dyrstadt. If you want something (and you can get it), just go for it! I feel bad for starting this topic, it's making people depressed :-/ Quote
Mr Dyrstadt Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Who's depressed?! So we complain about our the effect on our financial situation, but we know we love it! ;-) Quote

We just love it! Who cares about money ;-) My girlfriend will spend it anyway on some useless stuff, so I better spend it first. Quote
ukdevilz Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 for the first time EVER, i signed up with ebay today and going to buy myself some pirate lego. I have made a few bids for my xmas combo :-P hehe, bidded for 3 ships: - Skull Eye schooner, Black seas barracuda and the Caribbean clipper. Also Eldorado fortress and imperial trading post and a lot of mini figs! My username is ultrawebz - so if you see me bidding please let me win as I need to start up my pirate lego collection! I'll probs blow over Quote
Lord Admiral Helden Ravensdorn Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Currently, none. All my (miniscule) funding is going in to completing my Bionicle collection first. However, for each new ship I want to build, I need to buy the hull, boats wheel, anchor, cannons, masts, sails, rigging, and on and on and on :P Quote
Mr Dyrstadt Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 I thought my figure was surprisingly low. I forgot to add the current orders and the erased orders. I guess that I'm closer to 1500 dollars since june, so it is more or less exactly what I expected it to be. weeell ... who needs food! Quote
Capn Frank Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 right now i'm only spending about $50-$100 per year on lego pirate. I'm pretty content with the amount of lego pirate sets i have right now. What i'm really focused on is trying to buy as many bricks as possible with as little money possible. For instance, right after christmas when all the sets are on sale i'll probably be spending easily $100 on legos at wal-mart and toys-r-us. It's usually been about $10-$75 per month on just lego sets. I'm a full time college student, so i can't afford much right now. Once lego decides to start making a pirate them again, my spending will easily increase Quote
ukdevilz Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 |-/ thats IF lego make the pirate theme again. I have a feeling they wont for atleast another decade or if not at all! *n* Quote
