SoupOrFishOil Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Wow, that's cool. But what pieces are on his arms? Quote
thewatchman Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Wow, that's cool. But what pieces are on his arms? There the white lego rubber bands from the x wing kit etc. I like how they look like elongated gloves :) And thank your for the compliment. Quote
ReZourceman Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 my purist taskmaster :) That is amazing! I have to do that now! Quote
thewatchman Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 That is amazing! I have to do that now! Yeah for lack of a orange cape i had to use two sandtrooper shoulder things. The next one im working on is lizard from spiderman, a mysterio and sentry. Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Here's my ideas for purist figures. Use them if you wish. Hush Zatanna And I also want everyone's personal opinion on this Sorry if the photos are too big, I did resize I swear Quote
SoupOrFishOil Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 (edited) I love that Zatanna. I like that Hush too, since I actually have those parts. (That might be the first time I actually use something in this topic. ) What's the difference with Black Widow? Does she have Phoenix's hairpiece? If not, I can't tell what the difference(s) is/are, but does look better. I hardly think it's worth it if it is Phoenix's hair though. Edited September 15, 2012 by Superficial Username Quote
King of Nynrah Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Black Widow looks good, but I would... use a different head! Just any flesh female head without cheekbones! Quote

I actually Bricklinked the piece really cheap. I think it may have been a dud Poison Ivy hairpiece (the leaves weren't printed on) or some one was being really generous. Black Widow looks good, but I would... use a different head! Just any flesh female head without cheekbones! Thanks for the feedback, I was thinking to use a different headpiece but I wanted to see what you guys thought. I'll try with Elizabeth Swann's headpiece. EDIT: I made the new Black Widow and some others: and Ra's al Ghul and Alfred (yes, my camera blurred this shot before it ran out of battery ) Edited September 16, 2012 by Wall E2624 Quote
Sam892 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 (edited) Black Widow looks good, but I would... use a different head! Just any flesh female head without cheekbones! I find the best head to use is Elizabeth Swan from POTC theme. The face looks a lot like Scarlet Johanson when on the Black Widow torso and with the hair. I will try to post some pics tomorrow. Edit: looks like WallE2624 had the same idea and beat me to it . Edited September 17, 2012 by Sam892 Quote
ReZourceman Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Some more customs! Work in progress Sinestro. Luke Cage is now joined by his wife, Jewel. I cannot remember whose this was, but I was inspired by Rogue and Gambit, so tried to recreate Rogue. Prof X Really happy with this Gambit. X-Men. Mysterio. Chameleon. Bit of a dodgy one....Yellowjacket. Dr Strange. Avengers shot, including Vision. And inspired by TheWatchman.....Taskmaster. Quote
thewatchman Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Love the taskmaster but your gambit is a work of art! What torso and legs did you use? And the clock peices? Quote
ReZourceman Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Love the taskmaster but your gambit is a work of art! What torso and legs did you use? And the clock peices? Thanks! I don't remember what some of the pieces are from (like the head), but the torso and the legs are from Alien Conquest aliens (with a plain black crotch), the arms are from CMF Series 6 punk rocker/skater, the brown cloak I think is from a troll warlock, and the red cloak piece is from Palpatine from (I think the Republic Ship) and to top it off, the pink stud is from the Alien Villainess from CMF Series 8. :) Quote

I really like the red shoulder peice too, very creative, the hair really suits the character. I made a bricklink purchase the other day and impromptu threw together an ant man that im sure will impress too :) (will post asap) Edited September 17, 2012 by thewatchman Quote
Captain Nemo Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I’m a fan of purist figures—in part due to my dislike of figures which look covered in paint, and in part because I’m not good enough at painting to make my own!—and so looking for purist designs of my favorite Legion of Doom villains is hard. I’m trying to create a complete Legion of Doom, preferably with official figures, but as we all know there are just not enough of them! And so I’ve been making a few of my own. Below are purist customs of Black Manta and Gorilla Grodd. Manta is a simple figure with a brick and two dish pieces; and Grodd is a beefed up Gorilla Suit-Guy with the new purple cape from the Series 8 Alien Queen. Below is a creation (Which I guess you could call a figure—but I want to show him off anyways) of the Brain—whom I’m adding to my personal Legion of Doom. Anyways Enjoy! And if anyone has any ideas for a purist Sinestro or Cheetah I’d sure like to know about them! ~Nemo Quote
purpleparadox Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 @Captain Nemo: Your design for The Brain is brilliant! Quote
purpleparadox Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 I don't know if it's been posted yet, but this guy would make an awesome purist Clayface: Quote

Hobbestimus Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I think every Marvel fan jumped thought Scott Summers when we say the Hawkeye head. I was no different. Cyclops is one of my favorite X-Men, and I needed to have him to antagonize Wolvy. Tonight I lucked out in finding a way to make him a purist visor. I took the Lego visor which already sorta looks like his visor and clipped it onto a helmet upside down. This prevents it from closing all the way over his face, leaving his mouth showing, and still lining up the visor opening with his eye line. It's not perfect, but it's a decent purist solution. Quote
Hobbestimus Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Not mine, but I thought it was totally worth sharing: Vulture (Marvel Comics) by TheBrickTeen™, on Flickr Quote

ReZourceman Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Update! Hydroman Sinister Six My current MARVEL crew. Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 You certainly have a lot of Marvel figures. Very good job ReZourceman. Has anyone else seen the new LoC sets? The minifigs hold a lot of potential for some purist minifigures. The crocodile, for example, looks like it will make a very good Killer Croc. Quote
ReZourceman Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Thanks! One more - Jack O' Lantern. Quote
