Porty Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 (edited) This is my WIP supercar: the batmobile. Once I get the pieces I need, I'll start some serious design; now I only have some demos. I'll let the pics talk now! The seat demo A little demo of the whole thing kind of thrown together A pic of one of the independant firing tri-cannons Same: a view of the firing mechanism A demo for some flames on the rear that turn with the wheels, and rear cannons Rear view And a video of the tri-cannnons firing: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Porty/Batmobile/cimg5098.avi As seen in the video, only two fire. I will make it where while that clutch is clutching , The other fires. Then, it will be completely independant firing. Hope you like it, Porty. vmln8r Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 But thanks, offtopic: this contest we joined is a failure. I think you weren't picked because EB didn't want to pay for shipping the Unimog over here to you. I mean, its ridiculous! I know I didn't make a winner MOC, but IMO you did. It seems pretty silly to argue with a public vote. Quote

Porty Posted February 28, 2013 Author Posted February 28, 2013 Can anyone tell me what's going wrong here??? It's not coming together like I had hoped... Can Paul Boratko send me some tips? Quote
Bzroom Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Are you building the model to scale reference photos? I think that's extremely important. It serves as a guide to answer the questions of "what is not quite right here." Quote
timslegos Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 I would definitly agree. When I first started building large scale models, I only went by memory. Now I try to find a real life copy and print out the specifications and dimensions and scale them down. Now I am able to build much more realistic models with the proper preportions. tim Quote
Balrog Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Can anyone tell me what's going wrong here??? It's not coming together like I had hoped... Well, obviously you started in the wrong direction. Build the chassis first, then the body. Quote
