Iceman792 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 This started off as just a little diorama to force myself into experimenting with some new techniques (the tree branchs, waterfall technique, water color diffusion and slope rock formations), but turned into to something else entirely when BrickDoctor offered to photo-edit for me. Based off The Lay of Luthien by JRR Tolkien. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Beautiful MOC! I would add some detail on the grass, though, to make it seem more realistic. Other than that, the minifigures are great, and so is the waterfall! Quote
RPGer Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 (edited) Nifty! I've never seen a better version than this! Edited April 23, 2012 by RPGer Quote
soccerkid6 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Nice waterfall I have also been trying out some landscaping lately. Great work Quote
Seaber Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 As soon as I saw this, I though "Lay of Luthien", you captured the feel of it perfectly! Quote
natesroom Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 I dont understand the leaf floating above the head Quote
Pate-keetongu Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 That Luthien minifig is excellent, nice use of ice skater accessories. Quote
Flipz Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Wow...simply stunning. Gorgeous model, it's simple yet detailed. Quick, get this on CUUSOO so we can have Silmarillion LEGO sets! Quote
