ReZourceman Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 What themes are you suprised there arent, or themes that you really want to see? I want to see a full blown Fantasy Theme! The closest we have come is the odd Dragon or a Wizard. I want to see a cool cliff, with like a hut on, a few Mages, an old wizard, some Orks, Dragons ...etc etc. All kinds of stuff like this, goblins, trolls, elves, warriors etc...It would be sweet huh? What do you want to see? Quote
Athos Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 It seems we have this discussion on various forums a lot... But here are my suggestions: Ancient Greece/Rome, Farm, Zoo/Safari, World Cultures, Adventurers in Atlantis. Steve Quote
bdd Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I was shocked that they haven't done an Atlantis Adventure theme. They made a sharkhead and a mermaid for a Harry Potter set so why not use those parts in a theme? I think those would sell better than Lego thinks. It's the one theme I really want, besides expanded City themes aka, Housing, Zoo, Seaport, ect. Quote
Clone comander Nodra 999 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Reveamped pirates and mayby some Revamped aquasharks to go along with this years aquaraders. O yeah if lego would bring back space that would be cool to *y* I would like to see rome/ The simpsons/ halo/ And LOTR made into themes. Quote
CopMike Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 ReZourceman - make a wish in your Fantasy and it might be true ....... ;-) 2007 will be a great year X-D - KK2 & Viking-lovers should get what the need for the future though :-/ copmike Quote
optimus-convoy Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 I would love to see ReZourceman's fantasy theme idea. (I wonder if I will.) Lego is really overdue for an ancient Grease/Rome theme, or maybe some kind of Arabian Nights type of theme. Also I'd really like to see more variety in City sets. And I think the search for Atlantis would make a great Adventurers theme. ;-) O yeah if lego would bring back space that would be cool to *y* They are. ;-) Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I'd like to see a FDNY/NYPD theme. *wub* A theme with US-style fire trucks and such, more realistic, based on real trucks. More a collector's theme than a "Jack Stone-ish" theme. ;-) Quote
Brick Miner Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I'd like to see a FDNY/NYPD theme. *wub* A theme with US-style fire trucks and such, more realistic, based on real trucks. More a collector's theme than a "Jack Stone-ish" theme. ;-) and then give the firemen some skyscrapers to save ;-) would love to see towers done in minifig scale.other than that, i mostly want to see old themes revisited and expanded. - BrickMiner Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I'd like to see Al-Qāida-esq and military theme sets - US-esq and (pre-invasion) Iraqi-esq tanks etc. Would be good for lego films etc. But I dont expect TLC to make them yet. Maybe in a few years. Quote
Sting Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I don't think Lego would ever make a theme like that Calvin, as cool as it would be. Lego won't even touch World War 1 or 2 yet (I guess they made a Sopwith Camel), and those are 90 and 60 years old respectively, so I doubt they will handle the 2003 Iraq War. But I guess this is what we would like Lego to do. If Lego made a WW2 Line, or something heavily influenced by it. I don't see why Lego couldn't make a generic theme based on two armies fighting each other, basically like Castle/Knights Kingdom, except with 20th century style weapons. Before Lego's switch to using weapons and violence (real, 20th century guns in Batman, massive anti-tank weapons in the Dino Attack theme) I wouldn't consider this but now... why not? Needless to say I doubt we will see a modern or even World War 1 or 2 military theme any time soon. I would really like a revamped Pirate line. New minifigs, new sets, new factions. It would be amazing. Quote

Yes you are right. Well this is what I think too. It is understandable not to make armies that identify with real nations and I don't think TLC would do this. Although I was somewhat surprised to see real nations in their football collection. Quote
STARWARS LEGO! Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Fabel!!!! it would be so cool jack of blades a new fig for thunder wow so cool!! sigh too bad it will never happen :-( . Quote

Hopefully we could get an American Revolution theme... Quote

The image of TLG is already tarnished with Knights Kingdom 2 (the 2nd series one with the Jellybean Knights), piles of Basketball sets still in FOR SALE Bins, and other pathetic themes. TLG has been tarnished since it lost something it lost about 7 years ago: Integrity. But yes... I don't think AL QAEDA FANATIC WITH RPG would go over well with parents... or anyone for that matter. LOL. The idea is kind of funny though... imagine seeing that on the shelf. Quote

LOL. The idea is kind of funny though... imagine seeing that on the shelf. Well TLC already has minifigures which have similar dress-gear to islamic jihadi groups. Im not sure what themes they are in, maybe starwars?/ or some japanese theme thing? ,but they have headscarves, eastern-style swords etc. But this is good, at least it allows people make their own MOC armies.<p> Anyway another theme i would like to see would be african tribes e.g. the Zulus and proper elephants and other african wildlife. Quote
hewkii9 Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Yeah, the Tusken Raider minifigs are what people use. I'd like to see a LOTR theme, or at least LEGO pick up The Hobbit license. [Peter Jackson has expressed interest in making The Hobbit as two films, with one based on events in the Appendices]. Quote
Scouty Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 I would like to see more Pirate sets as well. Halo(not really), is a violent game. WWI, WWII, The Iraqi war, are violent. I think lego has a strict or just a violence rule. Though, I would like to see WWII sets, like a Panzer or Sherman. Quote
Sting Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 LOTR Liscence would be amazing. It would make almost as much as Star Wars (LOTR fans are pretty enthusiastic too) and have some amazing sets, pieces, and figures. I would love it. After finishing the book, I would love to see some DUNE sets. I know the book is not nearly popular enough to be a big name theme, but it would be cool to see! Quote
Zarkan Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 LOTR Liscence would be amazing. It would make almost as much as Star Wars (LOTR fans are pretty enthusiastic too) and have some amazing sets, pieces, and figures. I would love it. So would I. Mount Doom, Helms Deep, The Shire, and other locations would work pretty well in Lego, and think of all the great minifigs and monsters! Orks, Elves, Hobbits, Dwarves, etc, would be awesome! And we have got to see a fire demon and Gollum figure if they make that line. Phew, that would definately be a big seller. ;-) If they made that, then Castle fans would also be pleased, as they would get lots of new weapons, figures, and general castle related items. I really don't see why TLC won't make it eventually. ;-) Quote
SupaaSayajin Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Mmh yeah a LOTR theme would be great, although if we wanted the Helms Deep set to be good it would cost around 499$ and most cant afford those prices. But yes it would come with great minifigs! In the Western theme I still missed a western train, a saloon and a ranch. Then we're obviously missing a Rome/Celtic/Greek/Hannibal like theme. Maybe the Troja saga with Achilles and Hercules and Hector and so on... Then I think it would be funny to have a Lego set with a drug cartel in Cuba with all those stuff, but haha... And if I remember right we had all kind of racing cars, mostly formula though, btu were missing on stockcar like Nascar racing theme!? Yeah and WWII Theme Omaha Beach Invasion, is a dream but a nice one, Ill do this as my next moc maybe Maybe a James Bond theme or a X-Men theme, I mean X-Men is not that different in violence than Exoforce!? And we had an Egypt Adventure theme but no real Egypt theme with Pharaos and such. Maybe combine, make an Asteric and Obelix set, with Rome and Egypt Cleopatra.. Wonder how they'd do Obelix ;P Quote
Loco de Lego Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 I think lego should do a nature theme with rivers ,lakes cabins ,big forest. The idea would be to have to minfigs lost in nature and half to survive. ;-) Quote
Brainbox Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 I think lego should do a nature theme with rivers ,lakes cabins ,big forest. The idea would be to have to minfigs lost in nature and half to survive. ;-) Don't they have to do that in some people's parts bins? :-D History would be good. Maybe (as in definately) some more DC Comics stuff. Doctor Who. Although that wouldn't be as popular outside the UK. Although I can't be the only one who wants a LEGO Cyberman *wub* . Quote
Loco de Lego Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I use to get lost in my lego bin but not any more :'-( because all my bricks are use up. Ye ye forgot to put a D at the end of use . :-$ Quote
highlandcattle Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I actually would love to see less Licences and more original themes. I love the nature idea! Playmobil (again :-X ) has some great nature sets. I love to see TLC top that. Quote
BearHeart Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I would like to see a return of Johnny Thunder. There is a whole thread of ideas of possible locations he could explore. I'd also like to see more civilian city sets such as restaurants, gas stations and the like. An improved castle line would also be great (again, with more civilian sets). I would also like to see a return of the pirate theme, and if not that, then another type of historical theme like the ancient world or something. Quote
