Caselogic08 Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 (edited) Hi ! This is my first Lego Technic construction, I have tried to make a model of a hooklift truck. This hooklift system invented by Zetterbergs is a unique system for hooklifting. It can lift with a very low angle, and it can tilt it 90 degrees. Ive used parts from lego lots and some parts from my old lego from the 70's. The truck itself is no special model of an existing truck. My goal was to build the hook system. Its drivenby: 1 Motor for steering 1 Motor for propulsion back and forth no gears 1 Motor for driving pumps for the pneumatics 1 Motor for the pneumatic switch 1 motor for the hooklift system driving the special made linear actuator (the standards were not long enough) 1 motor for the Hooklift tilt system driving 2 linear actuators 1 batterypack 2 pair of led lamps Basicly its a tilted forklift truck stand with a hook on. So here is the Movie And here is the original truck with system In my version I couldnt hide the pneumatics hoses, basicly the should run beside the chains that are used to pull the stand/mast. The truck is rather big and it was hard to keep everything small. Take Care Regards Case Edited April 16, 2012 by Caselogic08 Quote

DLuders Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 @ Caselogic08: The hook lift mechanism is very clever. They don't have trucks like this in the USA! Quote

manbearpig Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Sounds like your steering mechanism clicks badly in the video Quote
Caselogic08 Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 Sounds like your steering mechanism clicks badly in the video Yes it does, I used a slipper cluth gear first. But it didnt have enough power to turn the wheels. Il come up with a new solution later. Regards C Quote
