I'm pretty sure I've seen that in real life. It's huge, but it really isn't that impressive when you stand in front of it.

Still, that must've taken a lot of work and bricks. Respect to whoever built it.

I have seen it for real last month at Legoworld Holland 2006, basically some sort of European brickfest.

It is a huge castle with nice scenery. It was occupied by all sorts of Belville size figs. I have even spoken to the builder (in yellow "De Bouwsteen" shirt). Nice build with lots of tan and old grey bricks and no wall pieces.

That's by Leo Vermeulen. He's been working on this over the past several years and has displayed it at various fests like LEGO World, I think maybe 1000SteineLand, and I think he even brought a piece of it across the Atlantic to Brickfest a couple of years ago. Here are some more pics from LW2006, but also check out Leo's Brickshelf gallery for more pics of his castle over the years. Notice that this is built at BELVILLE SCALE (!). Not a lot of builders able to commit to building full creations at that scale.

Thanks for the links Bruce! Good to see your amazing wealth of knowledge covers such far reaches of the online lego world... ;-)

Its really impressive. Especcially the crumbled walls look very realistic. I don't like it there are so many different brick collors in the wall, its a bit to chaotic for me.

the belville fig surprised me....

To be able to build on Belville scale is incredibly impressive though! (Not my fav but...)

God Bless,
