Shame that dear almighty gods can't regulate the chemicals that are passed onto their champions when they are infused with the living energy from their defeated foe. At least the Topaz Jinn was down, he was a snarky idiot after all.

I was at 40/40, Aura makes it 80/40, no one rolls Damage and there's no Free Hit because of the Stunned effect, so I go back to 40/40, and then I roll Hit and there's no Free Hit because of the Stunned effect, so I'm still at 40/40. "Same order, same attack!"

Jess swooped in to attack the Topaz Jinn, then realized that she could score a hit on everything, and grab some gold in the process. Grinning, Jess quickly cut the coinpurses from her enemies, while dealing damage to their legs and sides simultaneously. Laughing at her new found riches, Jess turned to the garnet Jinn and said: "You're next! I'll take you down and steal your gold! I hope your death is painful!"

O_o En Sabah Nur grinned as Jess followed his lead with the pickpocketing. He decided to continue with the quakes. But without his normal restraint he caused a few of his companions to lose their balance. "Eh, sorry. Almost brought the whole place down on top of us. Um, let me try something else." Nur's mind went back to Swisshopper's rocklings. He hadn't raised a hand to stop their mistreatment but he did spend enough time studying their anatomy. Summoning dirt and stone from beneath the floor, Nur let the clump cover his left arm. He pointed his arm at Belthazar Bluehood (Juggernaut) from the back row and delivered an extended Earthen Punch.

The once-wise mage was now only a shadow of what he had been before, twisted with the gift that he had inflicted on himself. "Wouldn't mind trading this off to someone else if need be, though I did throw a fair amount of coin Nur's way for it, so I might ask for a fair sum for it as well. Less than I paid for it, of course, because unlike my friend here, I'm no cut-throat."

He scratched an itch on his chin with his right hand. His beard had grown out. He removed his bandana. His hair had grown out. " The stress of the earthen fists technique must have aged me. I should have practiced before I- " His left hand was still encased in stone. Nur attempted to hide it from the rest of the group. He pulled a tonic vial from his pack and looked at his reflection. "I look like a beast! The magics of that damn machine seem to have conflicted with my own. Jess, looks like you have competition for the wors-best hair style of Heroica." Nur gave a curt nod and smile to Boomingham. "Aye, just gold for me then, Docken."

But the conquest of his foe had not spelt the new dawn that Haldor had hoped. The death had just happened, and then passed, as though nothing had changed. One dark plan was foiled, but in the streets there was still the same scum residing its chokehold over the city. The Nord solemly crossed over to the dead man, closing his eyes and crossed his arms accross his chest; removing a few of Docken's arrows that remained stuck. There was nothing more to say. Flinching at the way Nur treated Jess, he forced himself to speak. "I will take the aquamarine, if others do not wish to take the object of a man such as Bluehood. I shall take it then." As he leant down to take the small gem, Haldor felt a pang of sadness strike through him, as the loss was brought back to him.It still baffles me, how all this magic is contained in such a small shell. Pure and crystal blue, bright, priceless. Like something else that I treasure. Casting a sidelong glance, Haldor hoped that Jess would notice what he had meant. He couldn't bear to go on like this. "How on earth did you hide all that underneath your bandana, I didn't even notice you had a beard! Going for the 'I've lived in a cave for twenty years' look are we Nur? Seems you have found other uses for your earthen magic, well either that or you're looking for yet more ways to give yourself an unfair edge with rocky fists. You never fail to surprise me."
