Sariel Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 The video: The description, photos, NXT control program and schematics of the boom and the head: http://sariel.pl/2012/04/reach-stacker/ I don't suppose this could enter the TSTTS contest, could it? ;) Quote
rumpletump Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 This is a very nice bit of work. Looks good and works really well. I like the video too. But best of all it's pet friendly Quote
Lipko Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Great model! BTW a hamster is almost like a guinea pig, of which the Hungarian name means "sea pig" literally, so I guess this model is okay for the contest... Quote
Sariel Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) I see. Now I only have to convince the judges that the hamster is an integral part of the model ;) By the way, Polish name for guinea pig also translates as "sea pig". üdvözlet Lengyelország! Edited April 5, 2012 by Sariel Quote
Blakbird Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I see. Now I only have to convince the judges that the hamster is an integral part of the model ;) The primary function of a reach stacker is to work at a sea port stacking containers unloaded from ships and putting them on trucks. Since it is a port vehicle, of course it counts as related to the sea ! The port here at Seattle which is just outside of my wife's window at her office is crawling with these vehicles. Quote
