A new way to look at a legend

i am a true fan of this legendary set

i have recently discoverd that there have been A LOT of mocs based on this set

and not just a simple remake..but a complete transformation!!

From what I remember, this wasn't the result of a contest but people just building their version to pay homage to an awesome classic set. There were no prizes or time constraints or rules, it was just something fun people did for a while a number of years back.

And pretty exhaustive when it comes to genres as well. The only new idea to a version that hasn't already been showed is Technic - and that has been mentioned in this thread!

I'm thinking about a version in Model Team, but I can't really see how to pull that one off.

Those are some magnificent MOCs - we should have more of this kind in here. I'm all in for it. Any ideas?
