Be interested to 9398, found someone already personal design it (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=496025)

I just try to upgrade 9398 to:

1. change to XL motor, maximize the power

2. add gear box, flexible to power & speed

3. add LED front lamp

I think that the upcoming (2H2012) 9398 Lego Technic 4x4 Crawler set will lend itself to LOTS of customization. One could create various types of Trial Trucks (using the components supplied) to enhance torque, or speed, or a little bit of both. :classic: It will be good to compare your replica's video with dokludi's (which you referenced in your original post above):

I agree - it's not an officially licensed vehicle like the Unimog, it has a competitive purpose unlike the Motorized Excavator (I've yet to see anyone race an excavator), and much like the original 4X4 Off-Roader, it is coloured mainly by its panels - meaning it won't be hard to change the livery should you have enough pieces.

I like the yellow, although I feel the solid colour makes the vehicle look too tame. It's a 4X4 rock crawler, not a rescue vehicle. However, there's not much that can be done about it and it looks well built regardless, so that's not a problem.
