hello! I have been thinking of this project for quite some time now, and I have decided to do it. A trucktrial 8X8. I have been pondering between the two ideas and here they are:

8x8 Tatra

8x8 multi pendular suspensiond truck

I have narrowed it down to the second option. why? Because I think Tatras are way to easy to build, due to my modular Tatra design. plus, there is a TON of Tatra 8X8s out there! So, with that said, I did more reasearch on the multi-pendular suspensioned trialtruck. I found that the suspension was generally a group of two of the axles put together. I also found that the suspension rotated forwards and backwards first, then that pivot-holder went to another pivot, which tilted side-to-side. Sometimes the suspension had links between the two double-axle units. So, I have a idea of how I want to make the axles...but hmm... How would I make the frame??? How would I make the suspension shock-absorbed? I am very confused as where I should Go about making the frame and such...CAN YOU ALL PLEASE HELP BY LEAVING SUGGESTIONS IN REPLYS?

here is my goal/inspiration for this project:

@ 88high: If you want a pendular suspension on a Trial Truck that travels at very low speeds, why is there a need for Shock Absorbers? Sheepo's "Lizard 8x8" seems to be the ticket:

Ok, lets see. Yup...it should have a nice strong drive motor, geared down so it goes nice and slow. It should also be wider than how tall it is (to give it a nice solid base and preventing it from tipping over), and the steering motor should be strong, as your truck will encounter many enemies. And, the rest of the information is available in Zblj987's videos (there are like 7 tips and other Truck Trial shots and videos all over his channel) here.

Well of course! Those are the basics! I have the axles built and they seem to be very strong

Be creative, and make a strong, rectangular shaped frame, just don't make heavy and remove anything that is of no use.

I have run into one problem... The horizontal pivot point mount is a bit wiggly, and that causes the whole axle to want to bend around.
