nielsvdv Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 (edited) hey, here a little video on my progress with my hauler. Build for trucktrial event in Belgium. 4 powerpullers 2gears 1/6,25 1/11,25 concerns: u joint in the steering for powering rear tyres, but it is right after the gearbox. first is 1/1, second is 1,6/1, so the gearbox gears up. steering, i tried alot of things, i even had pneumatic steering, which was really good, but the module for the switch and pumps was big, but only used one M motor. to keep the monster effect, i need the body to remain relatively small. why monster? look @the video :) what do you guys think? nielsvdv Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 what are the dimensions this hauler will be in the end? what scale are you working at? nice work so far. it's looking great In our rules in belgium a 4X4 and 6X6 has to be 25 studs wide max, or more when you choose to build in scale 1/13 (so jeeps can be 25 wide, in 1/13 scale it is near impossible) but i didn't make it in 1/13, but 25 studs wide. so i can build the cab as big as i like. i am going to give it a nice cabsize, but it stil has to look like a "monstertruck" with the huge wheels. so i had to build really compact, and it worked :) it is going to be a volvo A25E 4X4, i would have loved to build a A40D FS, but i do not own 6 powerpuller/8466 tyres.
