S.I Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 I finally got the 8297 off roader, but without instructions. I downloaded the instructions from lego (via brickset), but the quality is a bit lacking, are there hi res instructions available anywhere which are comparable to the 9297 B model instructions posted here earlier. DLuders Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 @ S.I: The LEGO.com TECHNIC website and the LEGO.com Customer Service Building Instructions website all have the same PDF files as Brickset does for the main A-Model: 4536946 (Book 1 of 3): 8,582 KB 4536950 (Book 2 of 3): 9,877 KB 4538812 (Book 3 of 3): 2,307 KB You could look at the page-by-page JPG images on Brickfactory.info, but the image quality is not that good: Quote
S.I Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 All of those have illegible numbers when labeling the axises/liftarms even when sitting at my desk, and I usually build on the carpet which is much further away. My download of the 9397B model is 200MB, wish lego would release all their stuff in that resolution. Quote
DLuders Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Yes, high-resolution PDF files would be nice. I got that high-res PDF for the 9397-2 (B-Model) Building Instructions when I kept bugging Lego Customer Service to fulfill the advertised "2-for-1" model for which I paid. I'm sure that TLG has high-res instructions for the 8297 Off Roader; recommend contacting Lego Customer Service to see what they can do for you. I'm a bit burned-out over the recent 9397 B-Model fiasco, so I'll pass it off to you this time. Quote
S.I Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 Thats ok, now I know I have to ask lego directly and am not just overlooking a download option somewhere. Quote
zinfinion Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Quality varies wildly. Some are blurry messes, while others are 100% vector art that can be infinitely zoomed. Boggles the mind. It would be nice if they picked one quality level (high obviously) and stuck with it. Quote
Splat Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 If you don't have any luck getting a high quality PDF then you could buy a copy of the instructions off Bricklink : http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=77790 Quote
S.I Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 Ohh nice idea, I can combine that with my next batch of random parts. :) Quote
