Captain Flint Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 I tried to do brougham carriage from 19th century Victorian history era. Is more robust form than the original but it is still similar, although not as much as I want. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Very nice. I like the use of the CM stands for the top of the roof. Quote
Vindicare Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 You captured it well. It may not be to the specific one you did, but shouldn't the driver be a bit higher? As far as I remember from pictures/movies, they seem to be about level with the roofline. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Wow this is amazing Captain Flint! The whole scene is beautiful: the gaslamps, the unpaved road, the characters. Beautiful mini diorama! Quote
Mr Copperhead Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 That's a great job! I love the cobblestone street. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I'm not an expert on carriages, but this scene looks perfect. The carriage is well built and together with the road and 'old-fashioned' lamp posts radiates the atmosphere of the era. Also, I'm not a fan of fleshies, but they fit extremely well in this scene. Well done. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Beautiful rendition here. I love seeing carriages of that wonderful era. I really like the gas lamps and the cobblestone road. Which torsos did you use for this setting? Keep up the great work! Quote
Skalldyr Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Beautiful. I like that era very much. And you gave it a nice dark feeling. Quote
Julandrius Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Whoa, that's amazing man. I love every single detail, nice work on the street as well, realistic looking for sure. Quote
viracocha Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Very nice carriage. I like the atmosphere that you successfully have expressed. Only one thing is confusing me... One horse power for such large carriage seems not enough. Let it be two horses!!! or four!!! Quote
Captain Flint Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 I know that the carriage is too large for just one horse. I'll try to have this in mind next time and put two horses. Otherwise, thank you all. I'm glad you like it. Quote
