Here are some of better truck MOCs, so far I only have two trucks worth posting. I'm far some experience when it comes to MOCs (only just started getting into it). These models aren't perfect, but i'm happy with them and that's what matters at the end of the day to me. I do plan on building them in real life once I have the money for parts (within 3 months).

Currently these trucks are model team style, as in no motors. However the way I designed it, I could easily add the motors in later. I will be doing some calculations tomorrow to see if it is possible to motorize such large models.

Below is a picture of the bigger truck next to a 5571 Black Cat to give everyone who owns that set an idea of the size.

Wow that's a scale!

How much technic parts vs system parts is there in one truck (any)

It seems to me that they are system trucks with some technic parts (wheels axles and suspension) or they are full of technic mechanisms inside?

Thanks guys.

I would say about 1/3rd of the trucks are technic. The entire frame is the older style studded technic beams. As its easier to build the system parts onto for the cab/tipper, plus I like the older ones more.

Started work on a new project, was looking on brick shelf for ideas and came across this MOC.

So i'm trying to make a technic one, so far the plan is 3 XL PF motors for driving, with a 2 speed gear box. 1 M PF motor for steering. 1 M PF motor for the tipper.

Still a lot work to do first.

Using a similar frame to my other MOC trucks, I know i'm using the old style studded technic beams but I'm just terrible at using the new parts.

Thanks mate, I'm sure they'll hold together fine. One thing about my MOCs, they are always built very strong/solidly.

All going well I should start buying parts for the tipper truck this week (not the trailer). Once I have built the truck itself i'll start buying parts for the trailer.

So expect some pictures of it being built in real life in about 3 weeks or so.

Just started making a basic building guide, should save me some time when I actually build it.

Just about finished ordering the parts for the truck now, only a few parts left i'll get later on when I need them. Once my orders arrive I will have plenty to start building, so far it has cost about $1200 AUD.
