File opens in normal LDD not Extended

Question might sound dumb but been working on a file in the normal LDD but a piece I need is only the extended version so gone to open the file in the extended tab but still opens in the normal version, is there away of getting the file to open in the extended version, I bet it is obvious but sometimes I can't see the wood for the trees.

Yep, once you've opened the file just got to View -> New Themes -> LDD Extended in the menus and you'll be able to use the full set of Extended Mode features.

Or you could open a new extended creation and then import the old file into it. Either way should work fine.
