thire5 Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Hello, this is the third part of my MOC - Evolution of St. Martin's Church . I've build three stages - past, present and future. This is the last one which shows the future. See all three stages in my Brickshelf gallery or flickr (click on the picture): I hope you like it Also you can check out my old post-apocalypse models here. Quote
BrickBrackBlock Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I always imagined post-apoc as deserted and wasted, with little greenery. But I still like it Quote
Si-MOCs Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I remember seeing this in CCC. Concept was brilliant. and the MOC is worthy to your idea. Though I might have made that ship? floating so we could see it better :P Though I'm curious - did you actually build 3 churches? or just changed each one? Quote
thire5 Posted March 18, 2012 Author Posted March 18, 2012 Thank you First and second churches are the same, the third one is completely rebuilt. Quote
The Blue Brick Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 After seeing all stages, I love how you have captured the crumbling of the church and shop. Usually, the crumbling and decay I see is just a bunch of random bricks everywhere. On this, it has a more natural feel which I like. Brick on. Blue Brick Quote
Horry Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 This is a great one! It's exactly as Blue Brick says, crumbling often is done much more sloppy (I'd say I would only be able to do a sloppy job myself when building something like this) - but this one feels very realistic and continuously. Quote
SirSven7 Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) War, war never changes I don't want to set the world on fire...... Edited March 21, 2012 by SirSven7 Quote
Captain BeerBeard Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I can't remember where I saw this. All three scenes are incredible! The future one is my favorite. Quote
thire5 Posted April 13, 2012 Author Posted April 13, 2012 Thank you for nice comments I'm thinking about another post-apocalyptic diorama, I have some ideas.. Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 This does look pretty good, would like to observe those other ideas when done. Quote
Faefrost Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Beautiful work. Simply stunning! But where are all the zombies? Every post apocalyptic setting needs drooling brain eating zombies roaming the landscape! Quote
thire5 Posted May 20, 2012 Author Posted May 20, 2012 Thank you for comments Zombies ? I prefer post-apocalypse without zombies Quote
