chuckie8646 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Hey Everyone So I got the Mini Modulars Set a couple of months back but have always been wondering why the pet shop was not added into the set. The pet shop had been out months before the mini modulars were even announced. Does any one know why it was not added or when we might see it and the Town hall in mini form? Thanks Charlie
tafkatb Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Well, LEGO sets - even small ones - have a longer development process than you might think, so there's a good chance there wasn't time to make a satisfactory Mini Pet Shop. I suspect we'll see a "Mini Modulars II" in a few years with the next five buildings, though if 10230 sells really well they might decide to release individual buildings so we don't have to wait that long.
DaddyWhale Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I wonder if it's because each building in Pet Shop is only 16 wide. There are a lot of small details that may be hard to capture in 4-wide minis. Market Street also has a 16 wide building, but LEGO got around that by building a 5 wide mini. The alley is only 3 wide.
