smokebelch Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, Not 100% sure anyone hasn't already posted this up- but just seen it on vimeo and made my jaw drop so thought it could do with its own topic A digital stop motion assembly of the Ultimate Collectors Falcon- Possibly better suited to the brickfilms thread- though to be honest I don't often look there so thought more would see it here. Seriously this must have taken forever to make... Very impressed! Edit- Haha knew it would have been posted somewhere here- just seen it on the blog... Oh well Can't see a post already for it though, and I think it deserves one Edited February 24, 2012 by smokebelch Quote
Mr Man Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I saw it on the blog, but it is really good . Quote
CaptainCRO Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) I can't imagine how many hours of work were put in there. EDIT: It actually says how many. It's even more than I thought. Edited February 24, 2012 by CaptainCRO Quote
JackJonespaw Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 I too saw this on the blog. It is quite fantastic. Quote
Brickmamba Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 cool video, that is an amazing build, anyone ever tried briclinking it lol? Quote
Vindicare Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 That's a crazy build. It wore me out just watching it. Kudos to anyone who actually built this. It would drive me nuts getting that greebling right. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 The creator posted this in the LDD Forum, which is probably why you didn't find it. Not that it doesn't deserve a separate topic in this forum. Quote
mortesv Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I have seen this and it is absolutely insane! One of my friends is working on something similar using another UCS model. I have to show him this Quote
brickmack Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Wow that's a very impressive animation. It'd be cool if someone made a program specifically for doing these sorts of LEGO assembly animations, just stick in a LDD or Ldraw file and it would output a video... cool video, that is an amazing build, anyone ever tried briclinking it lol? I thought about it once, but then it occurred to me while looking through the parts lists that I have nearly every part required in large enough quantities that I could build the whole thing using my own collection for only about $15 worth of bricklink purchases. Some changes would have to be made, and I wouldn't be able to make anything with light blueish grey for a while, but I could do it. Not that I would though, it'd take months to do. Quote
