J4ke Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 It's SPACE, but smaller than my usual. Here we go, an excercise in using as many little tyres as I could. 76 of them, to be exact. And I still have some left! Well, there's more to this build than tyres. I wanted to do a flattened hexagonal shape like all the cool microspace builders do, and somewhere along the line I got the idea in my head to have a massive gravity-producing ring thing like that ship in BSG. All in all, I'm rather pleased with this. There are a few niggles, like my not having enough of the angled technic connecters in black, hence the use of tan and yellow in there too. Also, there's some weirdness going on near the cargo bays and just above. It's crazily fragile around there too, but for the most part the rest of the ship is quite solid, except on the axle near the back. But anyway, that's what I think. What do YOU think? Enjoy. Also, more pics in the photoset, you know the drill. Quote
Si-MOCs Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I think this is one of your coolest ship yet! The tire ring (ah! so that's what it was) is fantastic. And again I'm loving the progression of your shaping techniques. This really makes me want to try my had into micro. Though for some reason I feel like there needs to be some sort of support ships to go around this thing... None the less - awesome build! Quote
JackJonespaw Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 This is great! That circle of tires - perfect! Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Looks really good, just like a colony ship should. They all need a rotating gravity thing! Quote
Rook Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 This is your best work so far! Love the black ring and he detailin of the cargo containers. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Excellent looking mid-scale space craft 'J4ke', I agree that tyre ring is excellent ! Brick On 'J4ke' ! Quote
Piranha Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 I agree, I simply love all the neat building techniques showcased here. Excellent work. Quote
