DLuders Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Bedjaart: Welcome to Eurobricks! Could you "attach" your LDD .lxf file in your next reply, so that we may see what you are talking about? LDD can mesh Lego Technic gears, but it takes a lot of patience using the "Rotation Tool". Click on the LDD "Help" on the menu bar to see how it works. Quote
Calabar Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Hi Bedjaart, and welcome. At start, a little recommendation: use the proper capitalization. Eurobricks is intended to be a forum for adult users, and a correct writing form is something is expected from an adult. I would like to know if there is anyway to load my current project in to LDD standard I imagine you have solved this problem going to View > New Themes > LDD Standard (or a similar path... I've not LDD in front of me now). I can´t seem to figur out how to get cars to be sitting on the road its like they go right through the road. Unfortunately LDD don't connect bricks over smooth surfaces. Anyway you can place that with different methods: - using a scaffolding (usually made with tecnic pieces): connect the car to the scaffolding, then select all except the pivot and move the car to the desired point. - creating a basement where to connect the car, then removing it: use a long plate to connect a part of the baseplate with studs to the smooth part of the baseplate under the car, add some plates to reach the height of the car's bottom and then connect the car to the stand you created. - placing the baseplate under the car: place the car, then lower the level of the ground connecting a baseplate to a brick placed at ground level, then place a new brick to maintain the lowered level, then move the baseplate under the car. plus gears dont seem to work aswell. LDD is not able to simulate gear rotation as a real model (if not partially using a side effect of the hinge tool). If you mean you have difficulties to place gears, follow the hint of DLuders above. This is the easiest option I have found. I use it to place 8x16 flats under models that have tires at different heights and need one end rotated downward. It makes it super easy to get all the tires on the same level. Quote

DLuders Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 @ Bedjaart: You could create a new (free) account on Brickshelf, upload your LDD .lxf file there, then "Deeplink" your LDD .lxf file in a Eurobricks reply (so that we may access the file immediately). Quote
Bedjaart Posted February 12, 2012 Author Posted February 12, 2012 Here you go bedjaart.com/ldd/stage.lxf (could not make it as a link due to forum rules sadly) The problem is the cart in the front of the stage can´t seem to get it of that pedistal its sitting on. Quote
zinfinion Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Delete the pedestal pieces. Place a 1x4 Plate w. 2 Knobs underneath the cart. To move the cart forwards and backwards, use the Connected Selection Tool on the cart, then group it. Then place a 1x1 Flat Tile somewhere nearby on the baseplate. Select the grouped cart and the 1x1 at the same time (CTRL-click), then move the 1x1 to move the cart. Quote

Calabar Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 Thanks, ill try it out. Any result? Hi Calabar. Sorry that i do not spell that well first of all iam an adulte user but english is not my first Language if you really whant to know i got 2 kids and a wife ;) I didn't mean you are a kid, but only what here is expected from an adult user! As you probably can see, I'm not native English too, and my English is not so good! But Proper punctuation and capitalization is supposed to be language independent! Quote
