Hechristensen Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Hi there.... As promissed I will present my self and my technic models in this thread. It's pretty easy to see the theme of my collection. No, its not yellow bricks! For the trained eyes in here some will quickly notice that I have altered most of my models a little bit. (im not sure if this is considered as MOC'ing?) I like to stay as close to the original as possible, but some functions seriusly needed improvement. In my world they are made for play. I do play with them together with my 4 year old son, and if he is not to loose interest right away, they need to be able to dig, dump, load, hoist and so on, with our 3500 round bricks... I wont bother writing what I've done with them, cause you wizards probably allready know all the tricks..... Oh btw. I saw a topic in here about the 8265 frontloader and the problems with the Attila's PF MOC of it. (I have no intention of criticizing his work. What he did, was incridible!) However I did "moc the moc" and the LA version is now working like charm without the gears trying to kill each other. If some is interested I can probably make a Ldraw or take some photos of the details. Quote
Sariel Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Here's a quote from the forum guidelines: Images: Don't post images that are over 800x600 or are LEGO confidential. Images rarely need to be over 640x480, and any that are over 1MB (including GIFs) are not allowed unless there is admin approval. The behemoth you posted is over 2MB heavy. Just saying. Quote
DLuders Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 @ Hechristensen: Welcome to Eurobricks! You have a nice collection! The Eurobricks post about Attila's Power Functions modification to the 8265 Wheel Loader set is here; Mortymore's version of it appears below. In regards to resizing your HUGE picture in the post above, recommend using the image "resizing" program that Sariel uses: http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/ , which "resizes whole folders of files in just few clicks." Then, you can upload the resized (smaller) image to Brickshelf and link it here immediately using the "Deeplink" method outlined here. By "deeplinking", we can see your picture(s) immediately (without having to wait ~2 days for the Brickshelf moderator to make them "public". Quote
Technic Gearhead Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Nice collection! I really like all of the construction vehicle sets also so I gravitate towards them mainly. I like a lot of the subtle changes you have made to your models. I always like to build them to plans the first time but won't hesitate to change a color of a part or research a way to improve a function or the aesthetics. Quote
