Aanchir Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 You meant to say 5% I think? If 20% is correct then I don't understand and request clarification. Thanks, Joe Yeah, I meant 5%. Silly me getting percentages and fractions mixed up. Gonna go back and correct my post now. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Well, for that part I know it's the same regardless of the currency. I have at the moment a little over 1000 VIP points (I collected them by buying lego in official stores in UK, DK, and DE). As for that, I havea reward of 50 Ł or 50 DKK or 50 EUR to spend depending of the country. I wonder how the points conversion works when you are gaining or spending points in a currency other than your primary? Quote

AndyC Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 50 DKK are far less than 50 EUR for 100 points But you spend less in DKK in order to earn those points than you would in Euro, so it all balances out in the end. Quote
Faefrost Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 But you spend less in DKK in order to earn those points than you would in Euro, so it all balances out in the end. It works out even so long as you always do your transactions in the same currency. You get 5% back regardless of Euro, Dollar, etc. The only time it gets weird is if you cross currencies. Buy stuff in Euros then use the points in dollars or vice vs. Quote

Redhead1982 Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I've bought LEGO in official stores in Copenhagen, Munich and London, and they always asked me if I want to use VIP points (always the same amount of points in my account, but different currency). I don't see why we should be limited to buying in one currency only. ...The only time it gets weird is if you cross currencies. Buy stuff in Euros then use the points in dollars or vice vs. Quote
PsyKater Posted February 22, 2013 Posted February 22, 2013 I think grogall (or so. else) mentioned that Double VIP Points will not be whole March but only around Easter at the end of March. Not sure about this though. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Does anyone know when LEGO will make the dates for double VIP points in March/Easter public? Quote
Ricecracker Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Does anyone know when LEGO will make the dates for double VIP points in March/Easter public? They've been public for over a month now. See the store calendar at the middle right of the page here. March 25- April 8. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted March 3, 2013 Posted March 3, 2013 Thanks, Ricecracker, I've been over LEGO's page few times each day, and I never noticed it. Thanks for the links, as now I can start planning a trip to Munich. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I've just noticed that in GB/DK/DE March calender for LEGO stores, there's no mentioning of double VIP points. Here's a link to GB's calendar. I do hope this doesn't mean there's no double VIP in Europe. Quote

I do hope this doesn't mean there's no double VIP in Europe. I think it will be in Europe as well. VIP is a worldwide rewards programme, where any card can redeem and earn points at any location. My guess is that when the Europe calendars where made they forgot to put Double points on. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Hopefully, I'm just panicking. I'm planning the trip to Munich next week, and double VIPs would be nice. I think it will be in Europe as well. Sam892 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Just recieved an email today from VIP, confirming that Double points are in the UK. Think I'm going to wait until April 1st for the Splinter key ring. Quote
AndyC Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Yup, got that mail too. Oddly it said "we hope you or the LEGO® fan in your life are enjoying the LEGO Palace Cinema that you purchased recently", which is a touch pre-emptive as I was actually waiting for the double points to order it! Quote
Hey Joe Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 It's unfortunate that they don't have free shipping in conjunction with the double VIP points this year like they did last. I was hoping to buy a couple large sets. The shipping in the US is more than the 10% of points you get and then you add on the tax, well, it's just too expensive for me. It would have been a completely non-essential purchase so no great loss. Guess I'll buy a few more Enlighten trains instead and keep an eye out for bargains in other places, how about you guys? Sam892 Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 I ordered Arkham on April 1st and the points haven't been added to my account yet. Is this happening with anyone else? I only ordered it for the points, I know it says wait 24 hours but its now been 48. Quote

And since monday was a non post day and they probably didnt get it off until yesterday evening in sure the points are within 24 hours. Let us know tomorrow if the points are not through, I would just leave it a bit more. Quote

Sam892 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Sorry for the Double post. Just got an Email back from LEGO regarding the VIP points. It seems that due to the Easter holidays that the System is behind. However they said that the points should appear in accounts over the next few working days. Quote
The Joker1 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Hi, Cool thats great. Mine were quite slow but they are all here now. They came at roughly the same time as the sets . Quote
