Javert Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 hello I recently purchased 2 competition arrows (32133c01) off bricklink and on the order it says that they are light bluish grey, however on peeron, these pieces do not exist in this colour. So on bricklink I find the colour names are different on peeron for the light grey so how do you differentiate between the Old Grey (from old Castle Sets) and Light Grey (newer sets) on bricklink? Is light bluish grey the old grey or not? I am completely confused Quote
gratefulnat Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Hi Javert, Light blueish gray is the new lite gray, since 2004 onwards when the color change took place, commonly known as blay (light blay and dark blay for light and dark gray). I would assume that any part described as blay is the new color, and any part described as gray is the old color. As I'm not real experienced with either peeron or bricklink, so I'm not sure what differences exist in their denominations of color. But light blueish gray is the new gray, not the old. I'm sure someone else will be able to give more exact information, but maybe this helps for a start. Quote
zinfinion Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 What Bricklink calls Light Bluish Grey, Peeron calls Medium Stone Grey. Old Grey is LEGO 2-Grey Light Bluish Grey is LEGO 194-Medium Stone Grey Dark Bluish Grey is LEGO 199-Dark Stone Grey. There also exists LEGO 208-Light Stone Grey and the old LEGO 27-Dark Grey. And a few other greys. Confusing at first, but you get used to it after a while. I always use this page when I have questionable color issues: http://isodomos.com/ColorTree/Roots. Quote
