Yatkuu Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 The Wanderers by Yatkuu, on Flickr The Wanderers is a Zombie book by a Spanish author named Carlos Sisi. The book is available in English from Permuted Press. I really enjoyed this story, if you are interested to know more about it you may read the review I made on Bricks of the Dead. The above scene a takes place very early in the book.... "Dr Antonio Rodriguez (in the back) is horror struck as he witnesses the birth of the outbreak in Carlos Haya's Hospital mortuary..." A fun small build, I have always wanted to do a mortuary scene... spooky! LEGO should really give us more Zombie faces, I'm tired of always using the same ones! Quote
Tobbe Arnesson Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Very good, especially love the drain. :) The arm behind Dr Antonio is a nice touch as well! Possible improvement: The table is a bit high. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Excellent vig 'Yatkuu', I'll bet they are waiting for M.J. to rock up singing and doing the Moonwalk ! Brick On.....but watch out for those Zombies....especially that one breaking out of the vault. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Very nice. It's too bad that Lego released the nurse as a woman, it looks a bit awkward on men. For zombie faces, just click this link. Hoped this helped! Quote
Yatkuu Posted February 7, 2012 Author Posted February 7, 2012 Possible improvement: The table is a bit high. Thanks for the suggestion. I did not have the official stretcher piece so I came up with this design - I agree it's a bit high but it can actually be folded! Once you fold the legs the table stands on the shorter legs so overall I think it's a cool and adaptable design. It's too bad that Lego released the nurse as a woman, it looks a bit awkward on men. For zombie faces, just click this link. Hoped this helped! Cool, never thought of making that search on BL, thanks for the tip! The nurse does not bother me that much but I really wonder why they made the surgeon a female character - but I think the torso looks ok both on male and female characters. Quote
Tobbe Arnesson Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Clever search! Here's the same but in the catalog instead: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?v=1&pg=1&catXrefLevel=0&colorPart=86&catType=P&catID=238 Quote
tatertots Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Great details! The arm coming out, the drain, the facial expression, everything about this build is spot on. Quote

I agree the arm coming up is great! as are the freezer doors and the trim on the top! Nice little build. Are you planning any more scenes from the book? Quote
