xenologer Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Was just considering this piece you can find it in Striking Venom... or the Batman Dragster Does anyone know if and what sloped pieces match up with the curved edges of this? Having windows that seal flat against the walls is important for spaceships.... Then again I've never seen any ships on brickshelf actually 'seal' this window... so maybe it doesnt have any matching slopes.... Quote
UltraPrime Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 No, because it's wider at back than front. I can't see it being possible. Quote

Well naturally you'd need to use it on an angle (as most space-oriented MOCs do). Though I don't think that piece would work, as there's that little notch at the front, disallowing a total curve Quote
Chuck Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 I've used it as an airtight cockpit before... ...but, you have to put the peice ImperialScoute mentioned before at an angle. -l2k- Quote
Starwars4J Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Yeah, but that's not exactly air-tight, and I think he's asking for an exact fit...which sadly doesn't exist yet Quote
xenologer Posted October 18, 2006 Author Posted October 18, 2006 Nice Racing Pod. Yeah, I was mostly wondering if there was an official part that 'mated' with it. since many cockpit pieces have a lower half that goes with them... It's mostly part of a debate I'm having over wether to buy Striking Venom or Bridge Walker, theyre the same price. and I plan on dissasembly for the building of spaceships of course... Trying to plan ahead on the usability of the windscreens in each... Quote

But that might actually be better than if there were flush parts. You could even "lock" the nose of the canopy underneath a wedged area, and create a sliding mechanism to pull the canopy backwards or forwards to free the pilot. Hmm... I think I might play with that idea today... lol. Edited October 18, 2006 by JINZONINGEN 73 Quote
