PlaneCrazy Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Just wondering if the blue print drawings as used on the instructions and boxes for such sets as 8880, 8865 and 8855 are available for download. Same picture as used as the back drop to this forum (set 8865). Thanks Jamie Quote
DLuders Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 If you mean the faint white "outlines" behind the models, no I have never seen the "blueprints" in a separate file available to the public. From Brickset and Peeron: Quote
Saberwing40k Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 okay, then how can they be used for the background of this very forum if they're not available? although, someone could make replicas, which i may do. Quote

This is the background of the Technic forum. It looks like it was extracted from the cover page of the 8865 instructions. This was only possible because there happens to be a large unobscured area on those instructions. Quote
PlaneCrazy Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 The images shown are the ones in question. I am sort of surpised that they have not become available. I work in the engineering world and enjoy these sorts of drawings. I also thought that it would be nice to use as my computer wallpaper or even display the same models with the blue print behind and setup the same sort of image as on the lego box. Oh well. Thanks for the replies. Does not hurt to ask. Jamie Quote
le60head Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I think they can be easily replicated :) That doesn't answer your question, though. Good luck with your search, I'll be eager to find out if you have any result with it :) Regards, legohead Quote
