jhc2nmfn Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 If i put this in the wrong forum i truly apologize as it was not my intention to anger or upset anyone with the location of this. but....... i just so happened to purchase a burrows, hagrids hut, star wars AT TE and a lot of extra legos like 8 lbs worth. The owner says the only other set besides harry potter that would be in the lot is the AT TE. Which means that i have a lot of legos to other Harry Potter sets which is what they look like anyway. There are a couple unique parts that im trying to figure out which sets they would belong to, that way i can get the instructions and put them together. Does anyone have any tips for me on finding part lists or part identification numbers to figure out which sets they were used in? or any advice at all on the matter. Thanks in advance. Again, if i put this in the wrong forum i truly apologozie and i wasnt trying to cause trouble or upset anyone. Quote

Fallenangel Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 You need to work on your grammar. Evidently English is not his first language, which is understandabable, though I would be more forgiving had he stated so in his profile. Peeron also has a similar feature. Quote
brickie Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 jhc2nmfn That is a familiar problem for all of us who have bought second hand Lego. Perhaps you could post a small photograph of the elements in this thread? If you are familiar with Bricklink, and you have a spare hour, you could try to identify the elements there. You go to 'catalog' in the menu bar at top and then choose 'parts'. Now comes the fun part as you try to guess its type e.g. panel, cone, rock, etc. Whatever you do, have fun. It is very rewarding to finally find the part after a long search. Then it is easy on Bricklink to find the sets in which the part appears. Happy searching. Quote
