connectab Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Hello, my name is André and I'm from germany. After a long abstinence from lego technic my wife gave me the unimog for christmas and now I'm trying to build some easy things with all the new parts. I was realy suprised how many new parts lego has created. :D So I started to build a rc-controlled Cat Challenger with the few parts I found in our new home. The most of my old parts are still at my parents house. :( Here are a few pics of it - tell me what you think The main problem is the speed. It's very very slow, but I've ordered a few parts to made ist faster and more authentic. :) regards Quote
jorgeopesi Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 It is a good start but too much power for a light MOC, in my opinion is better that you use 2 normal motors with reduction. Look at my heavy D11 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=64493&st=30 only uses 2 normal motors for propulsion. Quote
timslegos Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Nice start. I am impressed with your studless building skills already. tim Quote
DLuders Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 (edited) @ connectab: Welcome to Eurobricks! You are fortunate that you "found" some Lego Technic pieces in your new home -- the previous owner left you a nice "house-warming" gift! Since you are from Germany, I was wondering whether you found Eurobricks via a random internet search, or whether the 1000steine.de website did not have enough Lego Technic discussion. Since there are more Lego Technic sets sold in Germany than in any other country, I'm surprised that there are so few Germans particating in this Eurobricks Technic Forum. I only know Efferman, fitzi, Thelonious Monk, and a few other German AFOLs here.... Edited January 27, 2012 by DLuders Quote

The problem is, that I only have two xl motors, because I bought them for rc-controlling the unimog. :D Nice start. Thanks, the few pieces I had were hidden in some boxes from the movement. :D I found eurobricks while I was searching for some mods for the unimog. Quote
connectab Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 Now, after I got my delivery from bricklink, I tried something I ever wanted. :D But now its a mix between a Yanmar T80 with Challenger tracks. Original Yanmar T80: And here is my interpretation presented by my cat : I really would like to know what you think about. regards Quote
jorgeopesi Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Nice, great use for turntable and 16th gears, very good idea. Quote
