Hi everyone,

Looking for a 2nd opinion or 3.

I have found someone selling a load of Lego and this is a picture of it. It's collection only and a little out of the way, but he only wants £40, is it worth it and can anyone identify sets from the pic?

For general size, I'd be inclined to say yes. It's looks like a decent amount of pieces, if you're a MOCer, you can never have enough pieces. I'm not familiar with your currency, so hopefully, someone from your country will chime in. I say, if you can afford it well enough, go for it.

I myself would be apprehensive - at a quick glance I can see a lot of pieces that aren't LEGO.

You might not mind using clone brands, and that's fair enough but if you're buying this expecting only LEGO then I'd perhaps look elsewhere - as it is I can make out a few K'nex wheels, some large prefabricated car bodykit parts from the MegaBloks "Master Builders" line that are, in my opinion, quite useless and what appears to be a quite large Power Rangers Ninja set also by MegaBloks.

There's a lot more, too - most of the baseplates I can make out are Megabloks as well as a lot of the more interesting looking pieces. Who's to say what the basic bricks are until you get up close and can read the writing on the studs (if any)

I also see one of those large plastic skulls that Megabloks sold pirate sets in, too. They have studs on top and can be used to store things in as they hinge like a case but really they're pretty useless for building with.

To be fair what's there is probably worth the £40, but I think that all depends on how you feel about the K'nex, Megabloks and whatever else may be in that pile.

You should at least check it out. Some (or a lot of) clone is to be expected. When looking at it up close, you might see a piece (or pieces) that on their own are worth the £40 price tag.

I vote no if you want actual lego pieces. It appears to be a ton of clone items and not much, if any, in the terms of lego expect for bricks and possibly plates.
