Siercon and Coral Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 A question was posed on Flickr and I thought it was worth a response. Here is a short video on how I learned as a kid to separate bionicle heads. hope this helps some people :D Side note, the remaining pieces are wonderful to use in a variety of MOCs! VIDEO Quote
Aanchir Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Thanks so much! I'd seen other techniques before but a video certainly makes me more confident. One question though: if you separate them and reconnect them, do they become looser? I wouldn't want to do this if I was damaging the pieces, unless I were absolutely certain I wanted to use the eye or head pieces for something different. Quote
Bfahome Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Wow, that's a lot simpler than the other methods I've seen around. Seems just as effective, too. Quote
Shine Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Thanks. :) It was always frustrating having to pull them apart with pliers. Quote

It's always hardest the first time you separate them. They are technically looser if you place them back together but they are very secure and function fully as they were intended. :) Thanks everyone glad this helped! Quote
Rook Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Awesome, always wondered if someone had figured how do that without damaging them. Quote
