Lately I've been browsing the tube for LEGO sets being built

The channel by nickname2002 shows two/three french people who own A LOT of LEGO

The background for each video is made up of massive LEGO sets

The video I link to here, has a great ending which include all the modular buildings and the Town Plan

This should make any LEGO fan drool

Ok, I'm drooling! Of the 3 modulars I missed out on(CC, GG, and MS) I most regret not getting the Cafe Corner. It is such a beautiful set, and I love the way it looks when combined with a second one. It's stuff like this that has me motivated to ace the upcoming sherrif's test. Detailing cars will never pay for the lego city of my dreams. :sceptic:

Impressive! Good luck with the sheriff's test! You could then get the new police car set to celebrate passing  ! I can't watch the video's right now, at school. When I get home, I will veiw them and leave my thoughts. I've heard of some AFOL's getting the parts for the CC from Lego Direct. I wondered if anyone here has experience in doing that, and the cost.

Thanks! I hope I do well, at least I have a while to study. As for the 2012 I already have two, haha. I bought a second the other day to serve as an unmarked car.

Their youtube-channel is great to watch. I've been following them for a few years. I suspect they're Suisse.

Anyway, the background makes every Legofan turn green with envy .

I think they might own a toystore

And the girl isn't bad looking either

If they own a toy shop I am still baffled by the fact that they can open all those sets... Any toy shop would suffer economically from purchasing those sets just to open them, and not selling them. I would love to work at a toy shop that does that though... buy sets just to build them *drools*

Woow!!! Nice video. In my opinion the modulars are the best thing that happened in the Lego universe in the last couple of decades. They (Read Jamie) really brought the brick back in focus. I still remember the first picture I saw of CC. I was stunned :oh3: Thats not possible!!!! Lego bricks in a 45 dgr. angle. It changed everything I thought i knew from my childhood, and took me out of my "dark ages"

Unfortunately I was too cheapskate'ish (is that a word?). And I waitet too long.

I most regret not getting the Cafe Corner.

I almost missed out on the CC too. It went off the official market. But I maneged too get it from a german Lego-dealer, just before the price sky-rocket'ed. Unfortunately I didn't get MS. And even though it's not an offcial modular building, I really miss it on my modular shelf. That front stair is relly great.

Eh, I think I could live without MS. I was never too fond of it to be honest. If I ever fall into a large sum of money, CC would be first on my list(followed by the Super Star Destroyer!)

I just wish TLG would offer expansions for the modulars. I want to add floors to GE but I cant justify buying the whole set again.

In my opinion the CC is worth it. Not if you count bricks or interior details. But the symbolic value is priceless. The first modular building :cry_happy: I ended up paying about 20% more, than the original price. But I totally understand those who wont pay several 100% more.

And YES! I would love to see expansion sets with aditional floors too. It's not very likely to happen though. Like in the youtube-clip, my CC would LOVE another floor in between top and bottom. That would bring CC up to date, and make the corner tower look really grand in comparison with the other modulars.
