fitzi Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Hey guys, saw that nice promo at a store here in Germany (Centro Oberhausen) and wanted to share the pictures with you. The big Unimog is made out of usual small bricks, maybe glued together, I don´t know, but it looked awesome beside the "real" Lego Model of the Unimog. Whatever, here are the pictures (at Brickshelf) , sorry that I didnt upload thumbnails, but I don´t know how to do so. Promo image 1 Promo image 2 Promo image 3 fitzi Quote
BobBongo1895 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Hey Fitzi, is it at the lego store or where is in the centro? Quote
Sisko Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 (edited) There is a LEGO store within the CentrO Oberhausen but the giant Unimog is at display in front of Galeria Kaufhof. They also have a neat little 3D Star Wars show. Edited January 12, 2012 by Sisko Quote
BobBongo1895 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Ah thank you. Eyerytime when I´m in Oberhausen I wonder why Kaufhof got huge Lego displays in direct competition to the lego store. Didn´t they steal each other the profit? Ok for Lego itself it´s a very good situation or isn´t the Lego store a franchise system? Quote

davidmull Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Very nice pics thanks, that's a proper Lego shop,I still don't know why we don't have an official Lego shop in Ireland and lego is so popular here too! Quote

The biggest advantage of the LEGO store is the Pick-A-Brick wall. They also sell some special products like the VW van but I am not interested in these sets. @david: Kaufhof is quite popular for displaying toys they're selling. Another Kaufhof in the Rhein-Ruhr-Zentrum has a big LEGO city display with all current sets in it. Edited January 12, 2012 by Sisko Quote
